Busy week

Hello there - Wow what a busy week this is turning into.  On Saturday I did my usual 5k parkrun at 9 am in our local park.  After showering I then caught the redjet fast cat to Southampton with my grandson H to watch football.  We support Southampton (Saints) and they were playing Tottenham Hotspur.  The score was 2 - 2 and it was a great game.  With the score being 2 goals each that meant all supporters of both teams were happy with the result and it made for a great day out.

Sunday brought us the Southampton half marathon with lots of people from my running club and other local running clubs taking part.  I was tracking the runners on my phone and it was great to see all their results and achievements come through.  For some of the runners taking part it was their first ever time running a half marathon and they all did very well and said they enjoyed it despite their aching legs! 13 miles is a bit far for me these days!!

There were also several of the locals running in the London marathon.   I was glued to the television coverage from 8.30 am and totally got sucked into the atmosphere of it.  The mass start takes off at 10.10 am and I was then tracking the locals on the laptop.  One lad, Tom from my running club finished in the amazing position of 1257 and he ran it in an absolutely awesome time of 2 hrs 55 mins 47 secs and here is his number and medal .... I saw Tom last evening and he was still smiling.

Needless to say what with all this sitting in front of the television quite a bit of crocheting took place and also in the couple of days since there has been a bit more crocheting going on - why not have a look -
